Hi there

I bought the official Samsung Galaxy tab dock and have plugged it into my TV using HDMI

However, all I get is the screen flashing static pulsing every few seconds and occasionally a pink picture of my tab screen

Anyone had a similar experience?

The dock is plugged in using the official Sammy charger

Aye, both give similar results

Had a thought it might be the 2 way HDMI adaptor I was using for the Sky box and the PS3, so i plugged it straight into the TV with same results

Have you got the power lead plugged into the dock? Even if your Tab is fully charged the HDMI output requires external power - edit, I've just read your first post again - try it connected to a USB power source

I had same problem and plugging in the power lead fixed it! There's a port on the HDMI adaptor for the power plug

Forget about ICS, there is no ics rom with hdmi dock support. As for you Gingerbread, is it stock or a rooted modified rom? Have you selected the proper hdmi port on your tv?
