Okay guys here is the much asked video about how to flash the euro firmware on your tab. This is only for ATT & T-Mobile. PLEASE DONT DO THIS ON THE VERIZON OR SPRINT BECAUSE I DONT KNOW WHAT THE OUTCOME WILL BE. Please watch this video because the written portion will just be brief; I tried to make this as simple as possible. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOUR TAB BREAKS: USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

1) Download all the files you need from here:

http://www.multiupload.com/043NG4FKCJ

2) Turn off the Tab

3) Put the tab in download mode by holding the power button + volume down rocker simultaneously

4) Connect the tab to your WINDOWS

5) Install the drivers; they are provided in the folder. If your on windows 7 the drivers will install themselves.

6) Launch the odin.exe (if you get an error about some missing .dll file then you need to install the Microsoft .Net framework from here:

http://www.microsoft...31-508d977d32a6

7) Make sure there the yellow box says Com:#. the # will be different for everyone. As long as its yellow you are good!

8) Select the pit file from the folder provided

9) Select PDA and the file from the FIRST folder

10) Make sure re-partition is selected as well as the other two options

11) Flash your device; this will take about 3 minutes and you will get a green PASS

12) If your tab didnt reboot then manually reboot it

13) Your tab should be stuck at a blackscreen at this point, THIS IS NORMAL!

14) Go back into download mode (power button + down volume rocker)

15) Close Odin and open it back up

16) Make sure the yellow box is highlighted again and your tab is connected

17) Flash the file from the SECOND folder; using PDA option

18) MAKE SURE REPARTION IS NOT CHECKED

19) The flashing will take about 3 minutes

20) The system SHOULD reboot, if not, just hold the power button for 10 seconds

21) The tab will start up and you should be at the setup screen

IF YOUR TAB GETS STUCK AT THE SAMSUNG LOGO:

1) DONT PANIC!

2) Turn off the tab by pressing the power button for 10 seconds

3) Go into recovery mode (power button + UP volume rocker)

4) Let it boot

5) Select Wipe/Data Factory Reset

6) Press home button to select and keep hitting it till it wipes

7) Reboot and Enjoy!

Thanks to RotoHammer from XDA for his prerooted firmware

I downloaded the zip (tried from from three of the four souces) and in all cases the zip wouldnt extract.

Now my system wont boot. I suspect all the files had viruses.

Perhaps whomever posted them can check. Im going to restore from a backup.

Theres no virus here. Check your computer. Many have reported that it works great on the XDA forums so check your system.

I just bought my samsung galaxy tab from Verizon, I will return this in Best buy where I bought in behalf of Verizon. Now I want to know if I will be successfull in flushing the T-mobile version of Galaxy Tab, can i use it in any other carrier here in the US? In other words, after flushing successfuly thus my galaxy is unlock already where I can used it in any other carrier on its data access?

I have an unbranded Tab bought in Dubai - phone is lock free - tested with several sim cards. Running P1000DXJK2
I don't have and can't get MarketPlace app or Google apps, - only app loader is Slide ME, so wanted to flash with a Euro rom.

Used Odin3 1.7 to flash both files JM6/JMA.
All goes well - except Reboot always lands back at download screen.

Cannot now get past Samsung Screen - stuck.
Tab vibrates in series of 1 and 3 pulses.

Recovery utility reports:
E:Can't mount /dev/block/stl10
(invalid argument)
E:copy_dbdata_media:Can't mount DBDATA
your storage not prepared yet, please use UI menue for format and reboot actions
copy default media content failed

Anyone help?

1) download this file

http://forum.xda-dev...98&d=1290261479

2) extract it

3) use Odin to flash it under the PDA option
-make sure repartition is UNCHECKED
-do not select any pit file
-leave everything else the same

Let me know if that works

No this will not unlock your phone. We have a separate how-to for that. Please check the how-to section.

A couple of questions, thanks in advance for the help.
Will this allow for 3G data support on a T-mobile Tab??
When this is completed can I simply place my sim card from my HTC G2 in this for data and voice service??

Hmm, I may be able to live with Edge. Will I be able to simply put my sim card in and get voice and data service (in essence turn the tab in to a giant Samsung Vibrant?

One more question.
I ran through the process (everything went as described). I put my sim from my T-Mo HTC G2. I can make phone calls but cannot access the web. I get the EDGE logo on top but the Down arrow is red while the up arrow is green. It makes me try to log in to a T-Mobile site.
Any idea what the problem could be?
Thanks again for the help.

1) Make sure your rooted

2) Get the app called root explorer

3) Find the folder /efs

4) BACK UP THIS FOLDER. VERY VERY VERY VERY IMPORTANT. PUT IT ON YOUR EXTERNAL SD, EMAIL IT TO YOURSELF, SEND A COPY TO YOUR MOM. KEEP A COPY!!!

5) Delete everything within the folder...do not attempt to delete the actual folder.

6) reboot the tab

THIS WILL CORRUPT YOUR IMEI but it will also allow edge to work.

Sorry if this been asked before:
I have a GT from T-Mobile and so locked to it.
My question is:
If I flash with the European Firmware will it be unlocked automatically? Or is it better to unlock it first?
Also, is there a way to return to its original state (T-Mobile) if I to flash it? I would appreciate any help...
Cheers

1) no it wont unlock it, theres already a how-to for unlocking. check the forum.

2) doesn't matter which you do first.

3) yes you can flash the stock firmware but i havent tried it so i cant say it works 100%

1) no you don't need to be rooted first

2) you shouldn't lose any stock apps unless the apps differ from firmware to firmware. The only thing i can imagine you losing is the calculator app or something. I don't think you will lose anything important but I HIGHLY recommend backing them up tho if u can.

3) yes wifi will work just fine. You will okay with that.

Hope this helps.
