Dont want gmails in my tab, how???

When i logged on playstore to download apps, my tab started to download a lots of gmails, and i have not installed gmail at all.
I don't want this to happen. Don't use my tab for emails, only browsing, school work, and i cant get it to stop.
I want to be able to download apps, and if i want to read emails, i go in my browser to do it.
I don't even use gmail anymore. I have the same problem with my samsung note 4.
If i cant find any solution i will smash it, and i changed from apple to samsung because i hate apple,
but now i start to be hating samsung(android) as well.
I hate all the notifications, and sounds that come with it, and the battery life is no good when 100´s of emails downloading every day.
