Hi all.
I have a Tab 2 GT-P5110 running Android version 4.2.2. It has been connected to my wifi hub for two years but suddenly it has decided to give me the error "Authentication error occurred".
I have done all the usual things like deleted the connection and then re-installed using the correct password. I have re-set my server password via my laptop and even done a factory re-set on the Tab losing all my info but still no go.
In a word HELP!

Have you reset your router? Tested any other wifi connections?

Hi. Yes, both with the WPS button and the famous switch it off, unplug it, plug it in and switch it on....
Also I have two other laptops and desktops plus two mobile phones all are connected and doing well.
On my one mobile phone I have an app that lets me test the speed etc., of the router and wifi. It is running at 39mbs.

I meant have you tried connecting the tablet to any other wifi networks? With or w/o passwords.

Hi. Went up to my church today and connected without any problem to our WiFi.
Came home and tried again but got the 'Authentication Error Occurred' message. I know I am putting the correct password in so there must be something else that has happened.
