no imei imei missing

my device is not showing any imei when inputting *#06# I get imei null

I have tried everything to try to get it back,
I was on 4.2.2
rooted
backed up and restored efs
tried kies to update but would not do it

then
downloaded 4.4.2 and restored with oden

but still no imei

in servicemode there is just a blank screen

can anyone help please

did you backup your original efs folder to your PC ?

no there was no backup.

the problem is I didn't realise there was a problem till I tried to update my tab and it would not allow it in kies.

now I have tried everything to repair but nothing is working.

in the efs folder there is no .nv_data files so I assume I have a big problem.

in your efs folder are there nv_data.bak & .nv_data.bak.md5 ?

if so, what are the dates modified & files sizes

no there are no nv_data.xxx files at all
