My Galaxy Tab3 occasionally shows the wifi tab on the drop-down as permanent pale green (normally only shown while connecting) rather than the usual dark green. Settings, wi-fi shows wi-fi as off, but wi-fi is in fact on and working. Status for the Galaxy on my router is normal. Any ideas, anyone?

Not quite sure what you are describing.....

It should be grey when off, and green when on..... If this relates to your wifi at home, go to Settings/Wifi forget your connection and then search and pick it up again to re-connect...

Your wifi, when on, will search all the while. Also if you are not using it, it is best to switch it off, for added security, especially when out and about. Saves battery life too ....

The only other thing that I could suggest at Home is if you find you have a lot of available wifi connections around you, you could change the channel on your router to a less conjested one....

Yes, it's grey when off and green when on. The 'halfway' stage is when it's very pale green. Settings > wi-fi says wi-fi is off, but it ain't. I ran a monitor and shifted the wi-fi to an otherwisde unused channel. Since then there has been no 'halfway' stage. I am beginning to suspect that it was telling me that my chosen channel was too busy.

Wouldn't it be nice if Samsung supplied a USEFUL user's manual.
