You can do it using Playon. Costs money (per month or one time fee) but it works very well and gives you access to Hulu and a lot of other internet TV.

Yes that looks like a good option but since I already use Netflix I can not see payiing for another one. I can only wantch so much tv :D

It sure seems like, with the popularity of Netflix it would be available.

Man I am bummed a bit. The salesman at Best Buy told me it would work with NetFLix and Skype and neither is true. I like the thing but it came preloaded with a bunch of junk that Verizon put on it and I can not get off. Too many dang Icons that I will never use and I can not get the ones I want.

Thanks for the reply

It should work just fine with Skype. It works just fine on my X. As far as NetFlix goes, there IS an official NetFlix app, although you can only manage your queue (".) . Hopefully soon enough we will be able to watch with it.

**EDIT** http://blog.netflix....on-android.html There is the official story from the NetFlix blog.

You can also root your Tab and remove all the bloatware. It really isn't that hard. Just remember if you do ever do it, just make sure you rename all the bloatware APK's to BAK or something similar so if you ever have to put them back, (and you will need to for OS upgrades) you can just as easily rename them back upgrade and rename them again.

I have Netflix. I have a Galaxy. May never the twain meet.

I watch movies in my Home Theater which has a nine FOOT wide screen. I have recliners in which to sit and I can turn up my Dolby 5.1 sound system until it scares me. I'm shopping for chair shakers.

I hiked up the mountain with my Galaxy in the state volcanic park yesterday. I carried my Galaxy in my pocket and spontaneously took pictures of my little dog wet and muddy. I suppose I could have sat up there in the wind and the rain watching a full length movie - say Lawrence of Arabia - on Netflix. But wouldn't it make more sense to just drive ten minutes back home?

There is a revolution underway in which people who formerly had to go out to see a movie in a theater can now see one with a better image and sound at home. Do you think there is really going to be another revolution with people going out into the woods to watch movies on tiny screens?

Well I don't figure we are all as rich as you are and when I am setting in the parking lot while my wife is shopping it is hard to watch a 9 ft TV. :D

I was asking for my own needs, not yours. I would like to have the application on my Tab so I asked the question.

Im really looking forward to Netflix as well... I work long hours out in the field with an hour lunchbreak that is required but not needed. It would be nice to have some entertainment.

Play on is well worth the money-only 4.99 a month, to get access to both Hulu & Netflix and tons of other channels.

Correct me if I am wrong but it looks to me that if I have it I can only watch the shows it offers if I am on my home network, is that right? I want to be able to sign on from any wifi connection. At home I would just watch my TV.

I have been wandering around this site and find it a bit odd that NetFlix is advertising on a site about a device they do not support??? Isn't that strange or is it just too early in the morning for it to make sense.

Does it make sense that they support other pads but not SGT??? Heck, many of us subscribe to netfix, should we not be able to watch it with what we choose.

Just seems odd to me

Yeah I would definitely like to have access to netflix from my android devices as well. But as I understand it, Android just doesn't have the kind of DRM baked into it that netflix requires to protect it's content while IOS does. So we're going to be waiting a while on that one.

Maybe I spoke too soon. Netflix just released an app for some of the newer Android phones but I sideloaded it onto my original Droid and it actually works!

I have it on my Nexus S, they are prob just doing limited testing on the Droid platform before testing it for other hardware platforms. If only Vudu would release their Droid app already.

Has anyone had any luck getting Netflix working on the tab? I modified the build props to get it to load at least but just as soon as I signed in the app crashed. I've got a rooted sprint tab with dj30 firmware.

thanks

Funny enough I found the exact same apk on a torrent site. Also working fine for me on Gingerbread, and I am in Canada where you can't download the official app from the Android Market.
