I was just wondering if My U.S. Cellular SCH-I905 can be upgraded to the latest ICS OS, and if so, how does one go about doing so? My Brighthouse app won't let me watch TV on the device either. It just gives me an option to record a program to DVR, but no live stream. Kind of odd to me. Any help or direction would be immensely appreciated. Thank you!

A way to check is to go to SAMmobile.com to see if there is an official rom available. :good:

Also check the XDA Developer's site, and see if there is a custom rom for your tab. :help: This step is not recommended or endorsed here :nea:, especially if you are not familiar with the pros and cons of using a custom rom. :pardon:

I've scoured the web looking for info related to this U.S. Cellular branded Samsung SCH-I905, but everything is coming up for Verizon LTE. I can't find any specifics for upgrading the OS on MY device. I am starting to think that I am forever stuck with this 3.2 OS version. I have searched for ROM's for my device, but find nothing. I'll keep looking, but if anyone can point me in the proper direction, it would be most appreciated. Thanks

it appears 3.2 Honeycomb is the latest firmware for your US Cellular SCH-I905,
although Samsung us refers to it as 3.2 Gingerbread 80 :- http://www.samsung.c.../SCH-I905ZKAUSC

you could try your local US Cellular supplier, to see if they can be more helpfull

So.... does that mean that I cannot "hack" my tablet? I have tried to install a clockwork recovery mod so I could attempt a custom ROM of ICS, but the tablet halts at the start of flashing with an "invalid binary signature" error. I have downloaded several recovery mods from different sites, but they give the same error. I am using ODIN to try and accomplish this, as Kies does not support my device. I can't believe that my tablet is so different from the Verizon or T Mobile version that it can't be modified. But alas, I can find no ROMs or tutorials that even mention the U.S. Cellular version of this tablet. Is this quest of mine indeed thwarted before I even started? Please tell me that I can modify this useless device, or else I'm just going to use it for target practice, and send Samsung a nice letter about their useless variations of a great product. HELP!!!

Samsung is currently offering for the Galaxy Tab 10.1 :

Android 4.1.2 (GT-P5100)

Android 4.1.2 (GT-P5110)

Android 4.1.1 (GT-P5113)

I suggest you send your letter to US Cellular & ask them why they have issued no updates
