Hi All,

I found a product call A-USBKey GT which is an USB Key with both connector: USB for my Computer (Mac or PC) and Samsung Galaxy Tab (30 pin). Before I used the Kit from Samsung, but some of my USB stick was not working with my Tab Galaxy 2 7".

This product is good, because is all in one and I can read movies directly from the keys onto my Tab.

It's very nice. The only thing, I hope someone will do an App much easier than "My Files" to manage files onto this device.

the link is : http://www.amazon.co...ywords=a-usbkey

Best regards

Interesting. Does not seem to be available via Amazon.ca or Amazon.com (USA) Possible patent conflict?

Hi, I have a galaxy tab2 and am having trouble viewing the usb flashdrive content.
In the past I've had no problems, but today after I chose which file to watch a blank screen appeared for about 10 seconds, then a note saying "cannot play video" appeared.
As I'm new to the tablet world (and a bit of a techno-dinosaur) I dont know what the problem would be.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi from newbie,

Have read previous postings but could find no definitive answer to question.

Is there any low power usb sticks or usb hard-drives anyone could recommend. Already have Sandisk Cruzer 16gb, which works fine, and a 32gb which doesn't, too power hungry so not recognised by tablet.

Would a self powered usb hub and a usb hard-drive be a better option, if so is there any known limit on drive size?

Look forward to hearing from you.

Regards and Best Wishes from Sunny (Raining) Wales

I have an 8Gb Usb stick.

In addition to three external hard disks.

I find it easier to connect both the tablet to a Pc (desktop or laptop)
and the Usb stick to transfer files around.

eg movies to take with me [ on the tablet ]
or mp3 [ music files ].

I've also found the tablet handy to keep a list of the movies on the
external hard disks. I used a DOS directory command to create a
list of the movies. Then added descriptions of the movies by doing
a google search for each movie.

AFAIK the tablet doesn't have a Usb socket to connect directly.

I have a Galaxy tab 2 10.1 GT-P5110, Android version 4.2.2, a 3 in 1 OTG connector & 2gb thumb drive.

When I connect the OTG I get message 'USB connector connected' but I can't find the files or the USB thumb drive anywhere, I have looked in files in apps, tried ES file manager but no access to drive anywhere

Am I missing something or can't the tab 2 read USB?
