Hi everyone.

Flash player (11.1.115.17) worked for several days. Now it's stopped working. I don't know what happened. I've tried reinstalling and using different versions (.12,.17, etc. for Android 4.0) but none are working. Please help!! It's so frustrating dealing with this problem.

Thanks all.

Adobe works, you need to install these: (use google)
1. Adobe_Flash_Player_11.1_android 4.0.apk
2. UCBrowser_V1.apk

Thanks for your help. I installed UC Browser. I can play youtube videos fine. However, in Facebook the video won't play "live". I have to download the video file and use a video player to play that file. Is there a way to see the video without first saving it locally?

I Have Just joined the forum. I purchased my Galaxy Tab 2 10.1" on 11/30/2012, so I know it is one of the newer models in user hands.
When I got the "Not Compatible" message yesterday, this forum provided the information to locate, download and install Adobe Flash using the .apk file.
It seems to be working fine. I have started several TV shows and/or snippets. I have opened several Cable channel videos as well.
All videos seem to run as expected.

I have also downloaded "ES File Explorer File Manager" based on positive comments fro this forum.
Thanks for your help, I hope to be a contributor in the future when I get a little more acquainted with my Tab 2 10.1"

Glad you got it all sorted out and enjoying your tab!

However, this is the tab 7" forum and while I'm sure people here will be more than happy to help, you may find the 10" section to be a better match for your specific device. Much of what you find here probably will apply to both 7" and 10.1" versions, but certain things like firmware updates and such will be specific to each.

Have you tried installing this Flash APK Adobe Flash Player 11.1_11.1.115.12.apk ?

It should be a simple matter to download the file from the link, and just installing it.

hey I did what you said and was amazed that adobe flash installed perfectly, how would I tell if it is actually working?? thanks for the idea. all I had to do was uncheck the option that says dont install certain apps.

Well, that's easy; just go to a site you know that uses Flash and see if it loads.

Will this work with Jelly Bean 4.1. I read somewhere in this thread that it will not work on anything higher than Android 4.0.4

I have Adobe Flash Player 11.1.115.34 that I got as an APK from Adobe's site

http://helpx.adobe.c...r-versions.html

and installed under ICS (4.0.4). From what I've read this has issues in JB (4.1.1) but I haven't actually tried it (yet).

Thanks for the hint about powering down after loading updates - I could not get iPlayer/Media Player to work; it just kept going round in a loop - Launch/Install/launch/Install. Powered off and now iPlayer just works fine; good quality video with no stuttering either (TalkTalk BT Infinity fibre broadband)...

I realize I am coming late to this discussion but better late than never. I purchased my Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 WiFi in April of 2013 on sale. The biggest reason for my choice were the options, reviews, size and price. In addition, my aging Mother who hates laptops finds the Galaxy much easier to see/user friendly when I need to do instructional videos in regards to her health issues. Personally, I have had little time to explore apps, watching or streaming video but was greatly disappointed when I attempted to use a particular account I had with a video library to stream my content! Fortunately, I found this forum and Brian's post about the removal of the flash player on this device and others. I followed the link, instructions and viola I was able to stream. At first it balked just a bit but after exiting the IE once or twice the streaming was clear without interruption. Thanks so much for your concise instructions and link.
