My Tab 2 recognises my External card ok but sooner ot later any folders containing files (Videos, Images,Docs etc) either lose their contents or the whole folder vanishes. The Folder that always seems to be a constant is called 'LOST.DIR' which I assume contains the wrecked version of the files I've lost.

Anybody any answers ??

Is the alarm supposed to wake up the Tab 2 when 'Off' like my smartphone does because if it is..mine doesn't

According to the google message I get - 'Couldn't log in because there's a problem with your Google profile'............................What Problem!! I don't do anything on google apart from use the email and even that's not my main email address!

When I first set my Tab 2 up I entered my own name - after all it is 'my' Tab 2. My Google profile visible name is like many a Psuedonym and I have no intenttion of changing that nor my own name on my Tab. I've had my Tab 2 but a short time (around a week) but in net/web terms that's a long time so why am I having all this nonsense from google.

Seems to me that Google are behaving like Apple..they want to rule the World.

I've read the article by Bart Laroc (http://www.thegalaxy...4934#entry44934) on Apps to External SD Card but what I really want to know is:- is there any option within the settings where you can change the location of any sort of downloads rather than having to mess around with the file manager.

I also own a 'Samsung Wave II s8530' which is simply a Smart Phone but not an Android and that has options to install to the external card!!

Having downloaded Apps, Images and more as yet I've not seen any prompt or found anywhere within the System Settings to allow Installation Location Change. It seems to me that advertising this Tablet as being able to have extra storage is a bit counter productive if one can't actually use it in everyday download operations.

My Phones Bada 2 O/S leaves this Ice Cream Sandwich O/S in the dust for function and customisation!!
