Exchange Activesync problem
26 May 2012 - 05:49 PM
Hi all
I got my Galaxy Tab 7.7 a few days ago and am still seting things up on it, but am having problems with the stock Android email app. I've set it up to use Exchange Activesync so that my mail is synced between my desktop, laptop and tablet, but it's giving me a "Connection Error". It seems to collect and sync mail for the Inbox, but nothing else. The Drafts folder, Sent Items folder etc are all empty despite having mail in them which is only a few hours old. Manually syncing doesn't seem to work for *any* folders - it only seems to work when it's set for "Push".
I had similar setup woes with my original 7" Tab about a year ago, but we (me and my email provider) eventually got it working (sort of) but not completely properly.
I've been in touch with my email provider again and they reckon it's a bug in Android. They suggested changing some settings (which I did) and deleting and setting-up again from scratch, which I've done now maybe 8 or 9 times, but I'm still getting the error.
Has anyone else come across this?
I'm using the stock Android email client (which is quite nice) and Android 3.2 - it's the most recent version available for this tablet.
Many thanks.
