Help! New Galaxy 10.1 . Windows XP will not recognize the tab when connected with the USB.

You probably need drivers for your 10.1 to connect to XP.....

Try the Support section on your regions Samsung Site to obtain these......

Hi there,
read a lot of topics here and in other forums but can't find a solution. Windows can't detect my galaxy tab 7 at all. When I connect it to PC via USB cable it only starts charging and that's all. KIES says "connecting..." and stays like that forever. Tried re-installing the drivers, but no luck. Sometimes, it detects in in mass storage mode, but only for few seconds and it losses connection again. Can someone please help me...

My 7 inch tab works fine with Windows XP.....at first using an old version of Kies and now using the latest version.

Are you using the original Samsung USB cable and not a cable that only allows charging? Is this cable good?
Have you tried other USB ports?

Any other processes running in the background on your Tab such as a anti-virus? :sad:

well, i am not using the original cable, but used that one before and it worked just fine. But after OS upgrade and root I noticed that issue.
