The font face in P6200 is very small, in SMS, emails, and many other softwares. How do I increase the font face of the letters/characters for the whole system? Thanks

well, that can be done in web browsers, but in some application, it do not supports zoomings. However, manual zooming is not a global solution for the whole system, anyway

Thanks again, mate, but my problem is not the input thing, but mainly the readability, particularly news, docs, etc

I don't know if this applies to the P6200, but on the P1000

thanks all, mates, but this is not just the email issue, nor the messaging, but globally, including news software, etc.

I have used a P1000 for a year, and it never had this issue. The way P6200 defines the screen is totally different compared to P1000

I see a common misunderstanding in the above comments re the default font size on the Galaxy Tab 7 Plus. I believe this is caused by the higher resolution on the 7 Plus Screen and the higher resoultion means smaller Font without having made other software changes. Samsung could of course fix this by allowing a change in resolution for example, just as you can in the Windows OS. I have tried everything to get the font size larger to no avail and I am not a novice user. I tried several APPS that reportedly change font sizes but anything I tried did not solve the unacceptable small fonts when using the browser. (Tried "Dolphin Browser" with Text Change Add On also - does not solve the problem.) I have a galaxy tab 7 and it is fine but the resolution is not as high as the Plus.

I called Samsung and the support responder was a bit flippant in his response by saying yes the font is small but he can read it just fine and Samsung was not doing anything about it. Go figure - so unless you have superman eyes, I suggest one stays away from the Samsung 7 Plus. Any other no flippant suggested solutions out there

I am sorry maxamillion but I really don't understand where you are coming from with this font size issue.

I have a 7plus and I really do not see any issue with the font size. I have just used my Dolphin browser to pull up three web sites and all were easy to read (and I need glasses). Anything I specifically needed to see slightly larger, I just used the zoom facility.
In messaging and email you can set font sizes to extra large,

so what is your problem??????

The only thing I can see to agree with you, is that it takes a milli second for the screen to re focus once you have zoomed up (which was not an issue on the 7) but thats' it, a milli second.

Can I join in with the other members and suggest, that either you have a fault on your tab, OR
you really do need to get a pair of specs.

I'm sticking my neck out here (well it's long anyway) to say, Sorry but I think you are wrong on this.

Sorry but I am not wrong in that the size of the font when using a brower is much smaller than on the P1000 and is unacceptable to many users. Just google the problem and you will see the problem extends much greater than my circle. The higher screen resolution causes smaller fonts unless other software changes can be made. I tried 3 Tab 7 Plus devices and asked 7 people to comment. All agreed the font is absolutly too small to read newspapers and browse the web adequatly. (In apps where you can increaese the font size there is no problem) My Eysight is better than 20-20. Yes one can Zoom but that does not solve the problem because to get the font to an adequate size by this method the text extends beyond the boarder of the screen.

So please advise me why I am wrong and getting another pair of spec is a bit flippant. I appreciate constructive value comments but flippant remarks do not really solve problems. Please understand this is a problem to many and qualified empirically derived responses are appreciated.

Lets try and see if you have a problem then that needs fixing then.

I pulled this page up on my browser as the first thing off the top of my head, it has not been zoomed up.
Does your tab see the font size smaller than this, if so then you have a problem with your tab.
If it's the same and you find it unacceptable, then I wonder how you didn't notice it before you purchased.
I am not being sarcastic but surely something that was as important to you as this, was first checked out by you in a store.

We are all well aware of Samsungs support and know that you probably didn't receive the answer you wanted. So I suppose you have two options. Return it to your retailer as "not fit for intended purchase purpose" or wait for Samsung to listen to you request for changes.
Hopefully another user will find an App that also might help you out.

Thank you for your perserverence on this issue. Your support is appreciated. I am not viewing on a tablet right now but on a Netbook PC without zooming, that is an extremely small Font on the web page you posted. I guess the only real way to determine font size is to do a height measurement and take the subjectiveness out of the equation. I will take my micro instruments and conduct actual measurement of text sizes. I know the font size without Zoom is approximately 50% of the size of the font on my P1000 on the same article. I believe this is a direct result of the Screen resolution in the Tab 7 Plus, so indeed the Tab Plus has better screen resolution, but 1/2 the font size.

We have 2 Galaxy S2 phones a Galaxy Tab 7, a Tab 7 Plus and 6 PCs (there are only 2 people in the house but I keep a PC in almost every room except the bathrooms, for convenience so I am not depending on the 7 Plus for viewing the web in its present configuration, but I do like to take tablets in my RV and outside for convenience. The Tab 7 Plus is not suitable for me in its present form and it since it appears there will be no answer soon to increasing the font size while browsing and reading newspapers etc. I will be returning it or just let my wife use it as an e-reader. I wish all those other Plus users who are experiencing the same problem all the best and hope they will get a fix. I will move on to something else.

Thanks again for your time an effort.
