I have a similar problem with a brandnew tablet. Do we need a specific player or App to be able to view youtube videos. I have a black picture with sound. Thank you for your help.

In most (or all?) Apps my videos (YouTube etc) are just black boxes. I can hear just fine but can't see anything. How can I fix this?

If I had this issue, I would first ensure you have installed Adobe Flash......Go to the Market and type in Adobe Flash.....install the latest Version

the brightness of the video is controlled by sliding your finger on the left edge of the screen

Yes, I also have that problem on sites other than youtube. On some sites the flash videos work fine, on others they don't work at all, and still others I get what you're getting, sound, the youtube logo, the controls, but no video. And it's solid black, sargilla, it's not a matter of brightening the picture. Having typed all this it occurs to me that it only seems to happen with videos on youtube that are embedded on these other sites.

I'm having the same problem, videos are not showing up, just audio. Especially on the Facebook app, but not on YouTube. I checked my Flash settings and they are set like they are supposed to be. Will uninstalling and reinstalling Flash work?
