Cold Galaxy Tab button Problems

Yesterday I went in front of my home to photograph my house and low and behold the button on the touch screen did not work. The only variable that changed was the ambient temperature which was below 32 degrees F or below 0 degrees C. The button worked when I came back in from the cold. This does not seem right. I had taken a panoramic in NYC Times Square about two weeks ago, however maybe it was colder here.

Is this common to all GT's?
