hi.. i have a note purchased recently in India. i am trying to use kies 2.0. initially Note was detected and got connected and i managed to do a backup. and when i tried to sync the contacts with my laptop.. it went upto 60% and stopped syncing saying 'aborted by user' .thereafter i treid connecting the Note again but the Kies gave a message saying Kies 2.0 not compatible with your device. kindly help. i need to sync my contacts.

sorry Atma, your right, no contacts sync with Kies Air
you could try Un-Installing Kies from your Laptop, download the latest Kies from Samsung support & Install it
click on "Tools", trouble shoot connection error
when that completes, connect your Tab to the Laptop, try different USB sockets (some work better)

I don't think it is possible to sync contacts other that a simple copy and paste through Kies Air.
Quick question. Have you tried re-booting the phone and the pc and trying again ?
Also try, remove and unrequired USB devices, reboot, connect to phone and make sure the phone screen is on when you connect, wait until autoplay dialogue box pops up on pc, close this then launch Kies.
Kies can be fickle at times !
Let us know how you get on - can always try a remote assist if needed.

Bought one today and as you can see by the alias I am seriously technically challenged. I also could not Sync. Tried various things, but upgrading the firmware seems to have fixed the problem (at least I got it to sync). On opening Kies, I still get an error to the effect that the device is not compatible with Kies 2.0, but click ok & it Sync's (gave me outlook errors & I shut that down). A reboot may fix this, but am unable to re-boot currently.
Definitely appears to be some compatibility issues, but at least I have all my contacts and calendar sync'ed.

Try connection troubleshoot; Kies will reinstall drivers (under Win7)
I could use Kies to connect to both the Note and the Tab 7 Plus but failed in Windows XP
