The title says it all really.
I want to delete some of the pre installed apps as I will never use them and they just clutter up the page.
Using the apps delete facility doesn't work (or at least it only seems to work on apps I have downloaded)
Any one know how to delete the pre installed ones?
Thanks

Deleting Pre Installed Apps How do you do it?

You need to Root your device first. There are instructions available on this site. You can then use Titanium Backup. Please refer to this thread - Remove Apps Thread
There are other ways and application that will do the removal but this is what I did.

Can you explain what it means to root the device?
You make available parts of the "Operating System", by use of a program, that would not otherwise be accessible.....

Snap and a bit concerned i'd brick it with no guarantee, maybe after owning it for a year who knows, but i just ignore the apps that i don't want.

Mitch. Routing is so simple it really is.
I was sceptical but rooted so I could instal one click lag fix, which has doubled the operating speed of my tab. (acording to quadrant score).
For this alone it was worth it.

z4root also gives the option to 'unroot'. I rooted to sort the wifi connectivity issues, and then ran one click thingammyjig too, it was worth doing, responsiveness is vastly improved
