I'm a newbie and am about to purchase a 32GB micro SD card. How important is the speed of the card? The purchase price of the cards goes up considerably for faster cards. Is there any common wisdom to be shared such as: buy the fastest card you can afford?

Thanks,
Mark

I had the same question. I chatted with a Samsung tech and he said it didn't matter at all. It makes sense since most of the problem with card speed is with DSLR cameras and video cameras that are taking multiple large file photos very fast or high quality video. The write speed is too slow to keep up with the camera. I don't think that will be an issue with what a tab does. I'm getting a class 4 card and I'm sure it will be fine. I have to have at least a class 6 for my DSLR camera to work right.

Class 4 is what I was advised to get by a very tech savvy member a year ago and it works fine.
