Hi guys,
I am posting my request here because it does not seem to appear on the Tabbies boards elsewhere.
My problem is Polaris Office, whicb is installed on the Note by Samsung. In many ways it seems a powerful package, able to read and write Microsoft Word and Excel files and swop between PC and Note without difficulty. It even implements some tricky conditional commands in Excel which other Office suites cannot handle. True, the date fields will not accept non-USA ddmmyyyy format, although they will display them if set up in Excel on the PC. My main problem is with the paste cache.
You can cut and paste quite easily - very nice too - but what you cut never goes away, so that after a while you have to page through all the cuts you have made in all your Word and Sheet files in order to find the one you want to paste. This is tedious and confusing, and must use lots of memory.
I have tried clearing the cache in Settings/Applications/Manage Applications . . . Polaris. The cache always shows zero, so I tried clearing the data after backing up the files. Nothing changed - files and paste cache remained untouched.
There is no manual and the manufacturer's site has very little info for users. None of the forums I could find were able to locate other documentations. I could buy another office suite, but this one works so well otherwise.
The seniors in this forum have helped me before and have a lot of experience. Any suggestions ?

If you open the clipboard you can hold your finger on an entry and an option pops up to delete entry. Do that an the entry is gone.

P.S. Hope you had a great Christmas and a Happy New year to you and your family.

A good way to think of it is this - a tap is like a left click of a mouse.
a tap and hold is like a right click of a mouse and will give you a popup menu of options, similar to windows.
Always happy to help.

I'm just getting started with my gtab2 (comes with Polaris Office) so far so good, question - is it worth learning Polaris Office or are there better solutions out there ?
