Is there a way to connect a TV as an alternative display for my GT videos? I know that I can do this for my Canon digital camera which has an analog TV connection, but there is not an analog video output from the GT - is there a way to use the USB connector into my Samsung flat panel TV?

Just buy the RCA cable I got one from Verizon for only $21 it was on sale. If you really want HD quality buy the Dock Station. RCA works great everything on your tab just shows on your tv. Video chat don't work though. =(

you can directly connect your galaxy tab and samsung tv via usb. in this way, galaxy tab is a U-Disk. when connect your galaxy tab to tv, you need to select "USB Mass Storage".

If your TV is internet enabled (connects via your home broadband connection/router) you can also turn on AllShare on the SGT and stream.

I got the Samsung three pin tv out cable and was very disapointed with the quality on my flat screen, I would not recomend it as the cable is not that cheap.
There is the docking station which I am tempted to try but its quite allot more, that has a HDMI connection. Would be interested hear if people are happy with that.

depends on what Tab it is.. 3G will, but the WiFi does not work with the tv out cable. and the quality is a little low, but it does really depend on how compressed the source is. the HDMI dock is great btw.. ;)

Second HDMI.

The HDMI slot on Galaxy Tab exists for this purpose! I suggest you buy a HDMI 1.3/1.4 cable. You'll find it worth.

Hey there,

when i first connected my Galaxytab to my lcd tv using hdmi i was quite disappointed. The resolution was absolutely awful and disconnecting the powercable caused a signalinterruption. Since i updated to gingerbread the resulution is great. But i still get problems with the powercable. It really sucks always charging and recharging the galaxytab when connecting it to the tv/mediastation for music reasons.

Is it a galaxytab problem or does hdmi always needs powercable to work troublefree?

regards,
pojo

Think theres some kind of bug tbh. I use the hdmi media dock and it sometimes makes my tv change source as soon as i dock my tab to charge. Also sometimes have to disconbect the hdmi and plug back in.

How can I replicate the Galaxy Tab screen on a Samsung TV - I have tried Allshare - only gives me the option to stream music, video or pictures. I want to duplicate the Tab display as you can do with a Laptop ?

You can use a TV cable if your TV has RGB phono inputs, or Media Dock plus HDMI/MiniHDMI cable if your TV has an HDMI input.

I tried to use my Tab with the HDMI output of the Samsung desktop dock unit for the first time today, into an LG TV, but all I got was random blue noise with an occasional very brief flash of the Tab's screen content. Most embarrassing - I ended up having to hold the Tab in the air to give the presentation.
Any ideas as to the blue noise (apart from testing things beforehand in future)?
Thanks
Mike

What Type of Cable do I need to connect my 7.0 to a HDTV and where can I purchase? Radio Shack was of no help, said it was proprietary cable connections.
Thank you.

Hi all,

My Tab (GT P1000N) when hooked up to a tv using the RCA connectors used to show exactly wtv schat was on the Tab screen. But now it has been upgraded to Gingerbread (when fixing an unrelated fault) whenever I watch videos of any sort the video controls (pause, play volume etc) don't show up on the tv screen even though they show on the Tab. I recently bought a bluetooth mouse to control the Tab from the couch when it was hooked up to the tv, but now this doesn't work as well unless I can also see the tab screen to use the controls. It doesn't make a difference if the mouse is connected or not. Does anyone have any idea how I can change this?

Thanks!

I've had my 7.1 for a year now. I realize it is limited compared to the newer Galaxy Tabs out there. It more than meets my needs though.

I have one issue that I can't seem to figure out. I purchased a TV out cable adapter a few weeks ago. I want to be able to watch Netflix on my TV. I can't seem to make it work.

The problem seems to be with my tablet. Is there a software update that I am lacking or some other trick? I have the TV out set on NTSC analog and the cables are plugged into the analog RCA connections on my TV.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
