My son got a new wifi galaxy 16 GB for Xmas. He also got the Samsung keyboard dock shown here: http://www.samsung.c...ECR-K14AWEGSTA? We can't get the tab to communicate with the keyboard. According to the instructions with the dock, the tab is supposed to ask upon docking which keyboard we want to use, but it doesn't do this. Spent long time with doing chat with Samsung and they told us we needed to download an app, but they didn't know which one. The samsung guy told us to search for a bluetooth device, and the tab never found the keyboard. But I don't see how a docking keyboard could need to communicate via bluetooth.

We are technically challenged, so I am really struggling here. If anyone can help, we'd sure appreciate it!

I just had a read through of the reviews on your link, the only thing I could suggest is :-
"To use the keyboard dock, the mobile tablet needs to have the input method set to Samsung keypad."
set the Tab to "Samsung keypad" & then reboot the Tab - then try to use the keyboard dock

Tried your suggestion Bart. The tab now says that it is in keyboard mode, but the keys still don't do anything. I will take it to work with me tomorrow and see if our web developers can help. I have a feeling this is something really simple. Thanks for your help!

I have a Sprint Galaxy Tab 7. I have the same problem with my keyboard and have not been able to find any solutions. Recently I ran across the GO KEYBOARD application. I installed it and just for fun tried the keyboard. It worked. I can't tell you why, but it did pop up and tell me to switch to the Samsung Keyboard. So now I run GO Keyboard as my default. Make sure you do reboot after you set up GO Keyboard.

Good luck and have fun with your new Tablet!
