Galaxy Tab rooted

Hello everyone! I'm back! I wish to continue helping people around here with their Galaxy Tabs again.

Okay, back to the topic. So, I have rooted my device, a GT-P1000 at last, after some considerations. I have searched the net for the advantages and disadvantages of rooting. Still, I seriously do not know how to take the advantages of rooting to practice.

Anyway, my real question is regarding on one of the disadvantage of rooting, security. I have searched numerous times about how to increase the security of my rooted device. Any ways that I can take when installing apps or just anything to keep danger at bay from my GT?
