Have you checked that you haven't accidentally locked your screen. Drag down the hidden menu bar at the top of your Tab and check.

Hello to all! :) I was using my Samsung Galaxy Tab (7" tablet phone - Samsung updated to 2.3 Gingerbread) last night just doing the regular stuff - e-mail, Facebook, downloading/installing apps from the Android Market, etc. Then later that evening, I noticed that my screen was stuck in portrait mode only. I tried to activate/deactivate the Orientation Lock from the notifications bar just to see if it might work, but not. I switched off and on my Tab, but still no shot.

I don't want to do a hard reset as much as possible since I have a lot of apps already installed and I will be having to adjust all the settings for each app again after restoration.

Please, help. Thank you so much in advance! :pardon:

Have a look at some of the last Apps you installed, to see if they have any "orientation lock" options in their settings.

It's very likely that this is the cause of your trouble.....
