My tab seems to be working perfectly fine...except for when I take it between two different wifi networks. It knows about both and connects fine to them. But if I have moved from being connected to one (home) to the other (work) but don't go into the wifi setting and do a rescan first, such as I forget and just open the browser/ email/ whatever, then when I go to switch off and back on the wifi to get it to scan again the tab will crash.

I get a nice little picture of the green android dude and "Kernel Panic Upload Mode" and have to long press the power button to reboot the tab.

Anyone else have similar happening to them?

Same error here! It happend while my tab was connected to the samsung galaxy tab keyboard. Today was the 5th time in 2 weeks. I think is a bug between the two devices.

Same issue here, it is something that started about a week ago. My colleagues at work are also reporting some trouble with the wireless of the tab.

Description as far as I can recognize when it is about to happen:

- In the morning, I connect the device to my home network (Wireless N, WPA2).
- I leave for work and when I reach work, it does not automatically detect the Wireless G (WPA2) office network.
- Under preferences I force it to scan and it does not see any "new" networks until the second forced scan completed. It then sees the network and connects to it.
- After work, when I get home, the tab again is unable to find the networks but now scanning doesnt do anything anymore. Wifi Analyzer also shows up empty (No networks found).
- Turn off wifi, wait a few seconds and turn it back on. After about 5 seconds the tab freezes and switches to the kernel panic screen.

Note that sometimes this allready occurs when I try to connect to the office network but generally it occurs when I move from Network1 to Network2 and then back to Network1.

I've been doing this since December (when we, my colleagues and me, got the devices) without issues. It is something of the last few days. I have not done any changes on the device recently.

This has never happened to me yet.
In my WIFI setting network notification is on.
the tab is checking non stop for wifi networks.
i can see all the wifi next to me and the ones i have connected to.
when i am out of my home. It connects automatically to the one i have used before if i am in reach.
Is your your network notification "ON"
installed spare parts and i have "stop WIFI to sleep" ON.
i travelled to the us from canada and back connected to hotspots and when i back it connects to my home automatically.

I've checked for any recent changes to my phone and all I did install was CleanX flipfont and the Alchemy game.

My tab is rooted (z4root), it has QuickSSHd running and droidwall, QuickSSHd prevents the tab from going into sleepmode when a client is connected. I've configured droidwall to block everything except for the applications I selected. This configuration has been done in december (within the first few hours I got the device :P).

Does anyone know where the tab saves its logfiles? After kernel panic I cannot find any logs to find out what exactly happened...

@Fludizz: that is pretty much exactly the same scenario that I have with mine and the crashing to kernel panic mode. Except it didn't do it today when I got back home.

Hi all, I am new to this forum and is seeking advice from advance member as to how to unlock the kernel panic upload mode. I switch on my galaxy tab and when tried to put on wifi mode, this message comes up and will not allow me to even switch off the device. Please help!
