I really dislike the prices specially because there are two components you need to buy. The device holder, and the mount. Then links above are for the device holder it self. In my case I will be buying the $49.99 device holder and the mount for my Jeep is $29.99... Totaling: 79.98 for the kit. That's a bit expensive IMO.

This video shows a generic base mount and then a generic device holder. (btw, how do i embed youtube vids here?)

Thats all for now.

So far my experience ordering from proclipusa.com is not going to well.

I ordered on Dec 3.
On Dec 5th I expected the order to be marked as processed. Didn't happen. That's ok. Maybe it takes them one more business day.

On the 7th I contact customer service about my order to check on status. I was told it is anticipated to ship out on Dec 8th. Sounds good.
Next, I get another email saying its on back order and expected 3-7 business days wait.

Well, ok. I will wait and keep you guys posted. (although seems im the only one interested in this mount? ) hmm... regardless.

To mount the galaxy tab 8.9 in my 2006 Jeep wrangler, I ordered the tablet holder (#511300) and the center dash mount clip (#853223).

The package arrived in good shape. Careful packaging was done so i'm pleased with that.

First lets talk about the holder it self.

The build materials feel strong. Much better than I anticipated. It's all plastic (except the screws of course) but it does not have that cheap plastic feel that some mounts have.
I noticed it has a sticker for http://brodit.se on the swivel mount. Must be the European main distributor perhaps.

Notice the two holes under the bottom side for the audio to clear.

When the table is mounted on the holder, none of the buttons or ports are blocked. It is held sturdy in place with no slack back, forth, nor side to side.

Its not very obstructive

And now the center dash mount clip:
This thing is over priced... Its all plastic. Im skeptical of the stability of this particular mount component.

I've used Brodit Clips for a number of devices in the past.....they're good, custom designed in quality plastics, BUT boy, are they pricey :shok:
