Hi everyone.

I must say that I am new to the android OS, but I love it.

I have a Gtab P1000 which came with 2.2 Froyo, and have found and updated to the 2.3.3 Gingerbread Rom.
(XXJQ1_2.3.3_P1000.zip) The installation did freeze on the 'Galaxy' screen on startup, but with the gen from XDA, I was able to sort it out.

So now I have been looking for the Honeycomb Rom for said P1000. I found this one Android-HC-3.2.2-Stock+Rooted-1.1-SOLARNZ.zip

I want to know you guys' advice wrt flashing the current Rom for the 3.2.2 Honeycomb. I have read quite a few posts about the differences between Gingerbread and Honeycomb, and most ppl are of the opinion that it is not worth it. So what do u say?

I also dont want to have any problems wrt the new ROM (cos I am a noob when it comes to things like this!). Honeycomb was supposedly built for a dual core processor, so how will it fair on the P1000?

Samsung India did say that they may release a ROM for the P1000, but who knows if and when this will happen, and I want to try it out like now...

Also, if I flash the ROM (if you guys say that it will work), and I dont like it ie, the performance and stuff is not what I expect, then I suppose that I can just flash the ROM back to the 2.3.3. Gingerbread.

Guys, I need your inputs. Many Thanx

Reaper.

I'm sticking with Gingerbread for now, well pleased with the performance & suitability for my use

Hi
I updated my tab back on 19th Oct and its worked fine (I had to oreload a few Appps due to permissions changing but apart from that all good)

ROM here: http://www.multiupload.com/BPSDNH21XP

Polish but uploads to your language (English!)

Works well - no issues and VERY smooth :)

Just follow the instructions on loading

Enjoy ... and don't worry it IS clean - but of course scan first - i always do

Please can you be more specific about the Rom you included the link for,
exactly which rom is it ?, are there any links to describe the Rom, any guides on Installation & recovery,
any forum to visit in case of problems, where the compiler is available to offer solutions ?

Just posting a link to an unknown Rom is not very helpful at all
I would advise anyone not to use it without further information

from my (limited) searching, I didn't see any ICS rom's that had working 3D support, or lacked some other "important" features. I could be wrong though, but I'd love to try some ICS on my tab
