Hi sumboy1

I can only tell you how we do it on the 7" but it may be the same.

In Gallery, click on the album you want to delete.
To delete a single photo, tap on it, Tap on your menu button and delete should appear. Delete and confirm.
To delete a whole album, load the album, tap menu key, at the top of the screen you will now have the option to Select all or select individuals but checking and then delete.

I hope that helps but if not someone else with a 10.1" should be able to help you.

try the app ES File Explorer, from the market
you can view all your folders & edit them as you wish

any photos that are stored "Off-Tab" ie: Picasa or Dropbox
open Menu, settings, applications, manage applications, All
scroll down to Gallery, tap & clear data
reboot your Tab & they will be cleared until you access them again
from the Tab
