Hey everyone,
New here, and I was wondering if I could ask for help. I just bought a Galaxy Tab 10.1, and I can't seem to connect it to my Windows XP PC.
Things I already did that didn't work:
*Install Kies. Kies doesn't recognize the device.
*Try all the USB ports
*installed driver here, but still didn't work:

I attached a screenshot of the error I get whenever I plug in the tab. I looked through similar threads here, but I can't seem to find a solution. I'm in the Philippines, by the way, so any US carrier-specific solutions won't work for me. I'd really appreciate any help I can get (the 10.1 is my dream device, and now that I have it, I want to have the best experience I can get from it). Thank you so much!
EDIT: Erm...I'm not sure if the file attachment worked, so here's the screenshot

Did you try downloading the driver again.......could have been a bad download.
That message might also indicate an incorrect driver.......I would fill an on-line Samsung Support request in, outlining your problem and asking them to confirm the correct XP driver........might be a good idea also to make sure you XP is up to date with all three service packs and subsequent updates.

Go into Settings and click on Applications.
Uncheck the box labeled USB debugging.
then reconnect your tab to your PC/laptop.
It should recognize it now.
At least it worked for me!

Hi Cottonmouth,
I have had exactly the same issue with multiple PCs and operating systems and no matter what i did i still could not get it to connect via usb. I could connect via wifi fine but my PC would just not recognise the device via usb. I even bought a new usb data cable all to no avail. In the end i have had to send it back and am awaiting a new device. Have a look at my thread for a few suggestions from people on how to resolve the problem:. Linky

I have read about a Kies Logger software that could fix the connection issue, has anybody know anything about this?
