Hey guys,i just got my tab yesterday.
I cant seem to be able to configure my lock screen.Everytime i try to turn on the lock screen option,it will go back to the location and security page.I reset the device but the problem is still persists. Try to update the firmware but it says unable to go into upgrade mode.tried it twice with same results.
Anyone know how to solve the problem with the lock screen?

No idea.cant seem to enable the lock screen manually but i can change the lock screen pattern and use it.that should do it for now until the problem is solved completely.

I had the same problem and finally figured it out after a needless return to factory settings. The problem I had was that I was clicking on "Off Never lock the screen" as if clicking it will turn it on. This just turns it off. Instead, after setting you pattern, PIN, or Password touch the "Location and Security" at the top of the screen. Doing so should back you out to the prior menu with your lock screen configuration listed and turned on.
I hope that helps.

Yes thanks that worked fine. Once you realise what is happening it all makes sense but it is far from clear if you don't. It should be simple enough to change the wording of the screen to makes matters absolutely clear. Does anyone know how to get a problem and suggested solution into the Android change control system??
