Hi guys and gals.
I can get files and pictures FROM PC to TAB with no problems but it will not go the other way.
I cannot get files FROM TAB to PC
After a while it just says 'item not sent'
It flashes up on the PC 'bluetooth connection successful'.
BUT NOTHING happens after that.

Anybody know what I'm doing wrong.?
I have already de-paired the tab and pc 5 times now and re-paired.
I must confesss that the bluetooth dongle attached to the computer is about 7 years old. But it has the latest Broadcom software drivers .

Hi Ulsterman
on your PC, show bluetooth devices, double click your Tab, in Bluetooth Device Control, at the bottom do you have "File Exchange Settings", check "Always allow this device to connect for all operations"

just for advise, although i can transfer both ways with my bluetooth, i prefer ES File Explorer app, & transfer via Wifi

Hi BART
Thanks for taking the time to explain.
When I tried to do the things you asked me, those options were not available in the sequence you said.
I tried something else.
I went to the bluetooth icon on the computer and right clicked.....then clicked 'receive a file'.......then went to the Tab and sent the document I wanted to. IT WORKED!!
So..........it would seem that I CAN NOT send from the TAB unless I tell my computer that I want to receive the file FIRST.
I was hoping I would be able to send from the TAB and have the computer flash at me and say 'Do you want to receive a file'
Is it just me or is this a long way around this problem?
Regards
Rich.

try right clicking the bluetooth icon in your taskbar, select settings, Share, check the box "allow remote device to browse, send & receive pictures, music, & other files"
