Hey Guys,
I am new to the galaxy tab!
I am loving it so far, but i have a major problem. Any of my HD MKV files wont work. They stutter. Even 720p files dont play well. lol
IS there a solution to this? I dont want to convert anything. i want to be able to play my 720p HD files directly in mkv format.
is there any video player or media player than can handle this?

Hi mate,
I am using the following:
DICE Player, and ES File Explorer,
This way I can store the files on the Server and map the drive using the ES File Explorer, then Use DICE to play ... Only thing I have noticed is that some .mkv (over 25GB) will not play...
you will need the DICE player Plugin for the 10.1 and the App (There is a free trial)

One better. Rockplayer will play the mkv files w/o conversion. I'm using the free version.

I've got a 3 GB movie and I'm playing it with Moboplayer and it lags, will Dice Player or Rockplayer fix this?

MoboPlayer makes my system to corrupt the screen image and finnally colapse, so I recomend QQplayer which works very good with a miriad of video formats!

Hey,
Just found a program that will work for you, its called Plex. If you use You Tube, you will see some great Clips on how to set it up. Allows you to store your files on your server and stream direct to your Galaxy 10.1......I have huge MKV movie files , and it doesnt stop, stutter or break up.......PLEX......you won't regret it.....
Also has a great interface.

Use dice player. Great quality and will have no problems streaming your media.

I just got my 10.1 at New Years, and am using the latest updates. The supplied Video Player seems to have all the latest codecs, but I like MX Video Player for switching back and forth between hardware and software decoding, and pinch/spread to zoom. Some videos play terribly with hw decoding but are fine when switched to software.

I find that HD MKV files over 5GB stutter on GT, but they do play well after down-sizing to 2GB or so. Pick up some (REMOVED) software to shrink them.
