I've been using Firefox on my galaxy tab since FF v4. Initially everything worked fine and I was happy with FF, but after I upgraded the Tab to Gingerbread, FF started working fine for only a few minutes (10-20 minutes) and then everything becomes SLOW. SLOW means that if e.g. I press the Home button, it can take 4-5 minutes before I get to the home screen and the TAB remains SLOW even if I kill Firefox. So it seems that Firefox leaves the system in an unstable state. The only solution is to reboot.
This happens with newer version too, that is FF4, FF5 and now FF6 (and just with firefox, no other application causes this slow down to the Tab).
I should check this, but it may be related to visiting flash sites.

Does anybody else have this problem? Or do you know a solution?

Cheers
lbit

P.S. I've an European/Italian Galaxy Tab.

Quick update: the same issue persists with FF 7,8 and 9 beta. FF is still the only application with this problem for me and it doesn't depend on visited web site: even browsing simple html pages causes hanging after a short time (often under a minute)

Hi,

I'm also have an "european" galaxy tab and tried all the browsers available: the stock one, FF, Maxthon (which I using in my rooted HTC ) and the Dolphin. Best one for me is the Dolphin.

I'm just wondering why, since Google developed Android, is no yet Chrome available....

But try Dolphin HD.

Yesterday I had some issues with Dolphin too. I'll try Opera and see. But I'm starting to suspect that the best one, for the moment, is the stock one...
