You should be able to get an HDMI adapter. I have yet to see them in local stores, but they do exist.
HDMI Adapter
That's direct from Samsung.
EDIT
Of course, that's if you have an HDMI port on the projector. If not, you should be able to get HDMI to DVI adapters, which your projector should have, if it's relatively new.

Need some experts on cable or adapter. I just bought a Galaxy Tab 10.1. I need to connect to a multimedia projector for powerpoint presentation which has a VGA cable to Samsung Tablet. Any suggestion on adapter/cable that will work? I am trying to figure out USB to VGA or HDMI to VGA but either way need to have a adapter. Is there any lose of signal during the conversion?
Is there one extension device for Samsung's Tablet that has HDMI, USB, SD memory slot, VGA, etc? It will be a wonderful world which such a device.
Thanks for helping as I want to keep the Samsung if I can resolve the VGA issue without too many adapter connecting.

One purpose I bought the GT for was for presentations to a projector. Is there an interface to provide this?

You can get VGA cables as long as your projector take VGA.
To my experiance, that's the only way.

I wanted to play a video at a movie night and took my cable. Worked well but ran out of batteries.
You can get a dock with HDMI out too actually.

I am trying to connect my Galaxy 10.1 tablet to a projector. The project has HDMI and the typical 3 port for video and audio. I bought a TV out cable, but it will not show anything through the projector. Is there a command, like on computers, that will cause the dispay to be sent to the video port?

You may not have the same issue as me but I found that the tv out hdmi cable only worked when the GalaxyTab is plugged into the mains.

Exactly the same here. First I connected it through the HDMI converter directly to the TV, but it didn't work.
Then I plugged in the power AC cable into the converter and then it worked.
However, it can only clone the display, but it would be nice if anyone knew of some app, so you could actually control this process yourself? I mean, if your tablet is at 90% power there is no reason to recharge it. But maybe there comes better support for this in Android 4.0?

Hi all,
Confused....I purchased the official Galaxy Tab TV out cable My linkwith the intention of hooking this up to my 10.1 and my multi-media projector.... Same story as above no video is delivered through the projector. I then tried to connect the tab to my TV through the same connection method and again no video (although I could hear the audio of a YouTube video I was playing on the Tab through the TV?
I am beginning to wonder if there may be is a fault with the tab? or would this cable never work i.e is it only for the earlier Tabs's ?
Any assistance greatly appreciated..
Cheers

I have a major need for the ability to connect the Tab to a Video Projector to show PowerPoint presentations, via Docs2Go or ThinkFree. Is there a Hardware Cable to allow this connection to a Projector via a VGA Adaptor or some such connector? I know there is a cable like this for the iPad.
I ordered a Tab yesterday and expect it in a couple of days. I have the option to return it in 30 days if I find that it does not perform the way I need.
I currently have the Samsung Epic Smartphone and really like it. Obviously it would also be nice to have a similar cable for this phone.

If the Tab you have on order is a 10.1, an RCA cable is available if you have this connection on your Projector
http://www.mobilefun...10-1-p32630.htm
There is also a Tab 7 inch RCA cable.....and the two are not interchangeable.

Be aware though, that DRM protection is built into Samsung accessories.......So you will not be able to view any protected content on your TV via any HDMI or RCA device.

I have an OPTIMA PK301 projector and have it working with my 10.1wifi.This projector is shirt pocket size.I saw them at CES in LAS VEGAS a couple of years ago and bought one thru AMAZON.
My projector has vga, mini hdmi, usb mini and audio in and out as well as their propieatory connection.
In order to get an hdmi output you first need a dock, and the hd adapter.
The adapter has a power input and you plug the power cord to the adapter and the power side of the adapter to the dock and plug in your hdmi cable from the adapter to the projector.

You also need a dock, it will not work without it.
I have an OPTIMA PK301 projector and it works very good using these accessories.

I bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and use it for business to do presentations. I therefore need a connector cable to connect the Tab to a VGA cable.
The Apple Ipad has one...
Where can I buy this cable?

Thank you very much for your response. This sounds like the best option so far. Am I correct that the parts we need are:
Galaxy Dock with HDMI output and power cord
HDMI cable
Anything else?
How do you like the Optima projector so far? do you find it bright enough for a large classroom?
Thanks again.
