How to access service menu?

How do i get to the service menu on a galaxy tab 7? I've seen how to access it from the Galaxy phones by dialing *#*#197328640#*#*. The tab doesn't have a phone app to dial anything. I need to modify my headphone settings on it. here's a video of the service menu on a galaxy s. i would think samsung has a similar menu on other devices like the galaxy tab

Hiya!!

I searched online and I found this:


To view the hidden menu on your Samsung Tab, Follow these simple steps:

•From your Home screen, select Applications
•Choose Memo
•Hit the Search Icon
•Enter the code * # 2 2 7 4 5 9 2 7
•Hit on the text box and enter 000000
•Select hidden menu Enable

I hope it works. When I get at home I´m trying on mine.

Hi, I just had to replace my battery and now I am getting a battery too hot to charge error.

Ive been attempting to get to the battery menu with no success for a few hours after rooting the tab with super one click.

Did you find where the menu was?

Hi there, I had to change my battery recently due to the battery acting like a capacitor, charging with in 30 seconds and then dying with in thirty seconds of the usb being connected and disconnected.

Now after putting it all back together I am getting an error about
Battery temperature too high or too low.

I have read that this

It seems like I needed to root the tab, and I did with super one click following theseinstructions.

done and I guess it worked.

I also did a factory reset, as one of the forums mentioned that it had worked for them.

But I don't see any place to enter the code.

If any one knows how I get to the battery menu that would be great. I think I just have to enter the *#197328640# code but not sure where.

Would it be better to put a newer or different Android version on the tablet?

I have a GT-P1000 (uk), on the phone dialer, dial in :
*#*#4636#*#* for battery and other general settings like GSM/CDMA

if you decide to upgrade to 'Gingerbread' SamFirmware has :
GT-P1000R - Canada (Rogers) - 2011 July - (PDA) P1000RUXKG1 - (CSC) P1000RRWCKG1
