So far I've tried the google music app and winamp, neither of these programs can "see" my music. I've put the music in darn near every folder possible and it never see's it, even after reboot. However if I got to the file manager and open one song manually it plays fine. Any suggestions?

try a reboot, tab may need to do a "media scan"
the only audio files that dont show in music player on my Tab are the "audio book" files i have in a seperate folder with a ".nomedia" file in there to hide them from the music player (".nomedia" is a hidden file & doesnt show on the Tab "my files" but can be seen on connecting to pc as "mass Media" with pc set to show hidden files)

normally connecting to kies and syncing your music is the way that most samsung devices find new music.. (if the quick scan does not find them)
what format are the files?
what format are the files?

Seek, and you shall find..
Use the SEARCH, and I'll be kind..

As I said in the initial post, I've rebooted several times. I'm not sure what you mean by connecting to kies? I had the 7 inch tab before this and the media scan always found things, but my 10.1 doesn't even do a media scan that I'm aware of. Formats are mp4 and mp3 without drm of course.

Not the solution I was looking for but; If I upload my music to the Amazon cloud and then download to my Tab they show up properly. I guess it will do until I find some other way.
