Help!!!!!! cant update sch-i800 galaxy tab to 34.6 mb battery update

My verizon galaxy tab can not update to the 34.6 mb system update file. W,,,hat happens is the window comes up saying system update and when I hit install now, reboot and install, everything seems to go smoothly. Once it turns off, it shows the android guy and goes a bit less than halfway, then the loading bar stops and the android guy becomes an exclaimation mark in a triangle. I have tried upward of 30 times, factory resets, etc. Please help asap. Thanks!
