hi to everyone... i'm new user, i just bought SGT P7510 and i'm already seeking for help :D

my friend gave me CD full of comics (i don't really want to know where he got them ;) )... i copied files to my PC, i'd like to convert them to .epub and transfer them to my TAB to read them...

when i look at single file, it is in .cbr form... when i click on it there's a sub-folder in it with RAR/ZIP .jpg pictures...

so what to do? i was thinking to unrar/unzip .jpg pictures, copy them to another folder and by using Calibre first convert them to .pdf, and then convert .pdf to .epub... is this the right way to do it? can anyone help?

i'm sorry, English is not my first language, but i really hope that i was clear enough about my problem and that you guys understand what i'm talking about... ;)

google for -- cbr to epub -- select one of the free converters for PC
try coverting one of the comics to epub, copy it to your Tab ebook/import folder
I use Aldiko reader, open Aldiko, tap the "house" top left, select SD card, scroll to ebook/import
tap the Comic.epub, import to Aldiko, go back to Aldiko & see if its in the "Library" or "List View"
once it is imported into Aldiko, you can delete the comic.epub from ebook/import
you should have a folder inside the eBooks folder refering to the comic file

Why would you want to convert image files to epub? Gallery is there to take care of your image files.

I found very old comics on net,but they are scaned page by page - one page/one jpg. So i was thinking to merge them somehow,so that i could get one file instead of 60 pictures.

Already try that. But as it seems, scaned files are bad or there's something else, 'cous i can't transer them to .pdf file:(

Also Calibre - doesn't work for me... simple .doc document (ebook's WERE in my days even in that format:)

anything i tried, there was "unsopported format" on my PC screen:(

and i tried "by the book" aka watched video, went step-by-step and failed:(

You can convert .jpg to .pdf with Camscanner (in the Market)

Try putting the pics in a word document then run them through the web site and it should covert it too. About 50/50 chance of it working but worth a try.

I have some books which I d/l into a Whitcoulls reader on my desktop.... how the heck do I get them to my Galaxy tablet? I cannot see them anywhere on my computer, except if I click on the Whitcoulls shortcut... sigh... I have Kies and could (probably/possibly) sync them from there to the tablet but how do I do that when I cannot see them.... maybe more wine will help? Bryden

Try a search on your PC for *.epub
this should show you the folder the epub files are saved in

I found Calibre to convert any ebook. I prefer to convert everything including .pdf files to .epub files. Once converted to .epub files, almost any reader (including android Books) will find them.

Perhaps you can help with one more thing: Maybe this should be a new topic?
I have lost Google e-reader. I go to my Google account with my password and see the books that I've paid for and had on the old tab, but can't get a Google reader back to view them. Any advice??

I have found it best to download ebooks to PC, from what ever source & then transfer/copy them to the Tab

then using Aldiko, browse to the Tab folder containing the ebooks & import them from there
