Hi
I have just purchased the galaxy 10.1.. the reason was because it can play HD quality movies (720p is good enough)
i tried to play some of my movies I have but the galaxy failed to play.
I did some research and found out that it only supports H264 format
99% movies I have is x264 format..
Is there any way to play x264.. ???
thanks in Advance

Is it possible to play x264 (not H264) on galaxy 10.1? x264

I tried to encode a few DVD with Handbrake with uses x264 and it would not play it.
Currently I'm using a 1 month trial DVDFab 8 to do it and I've got those to playback just fine so far.

Right,
x264 (h264) does work on the GalTab 10.1!!!
the problems I was experiencing and most other no doubt, is because of the audio stream conversion.
what I've found with both DVDFab and Handbrake is that natively each wants to encode he Audio stream as Dolby ProLogic II at a very high bit rate and the Galtab seems to struggle with or does not like this too much (hence why I was getting audio lag on the videos I had converted successfully).
By dropping the Audio Stream to Stereo (as good as the tab can playback with the 2 speakers) and the bit rate to 160 kbps or 128 kbps all my woes disappeared and the x264 converted streams with Handbrake now work quiet nicely.
