I have a home network (80211N secured with WPA/WPA2 PSK) which already supports 3 macs,2 iPad2, 1 Win7 PC, 2 WinXP PC, and a couple of Linux PCs. All can connect out without problems.
My new Galaxy Tab 10.1 can connect to my router (it gets an IP address) but can't see the internet outward from it. If I connect to an "open" network, it connects out without a problem.
I went back to Best Buy where I bought it, spent several hours with a "Geek", we tried a different slab, and it seemed to connect ok so I swapped machines with them.
I could really use some help.

My router is already WPA PSK .. every other device I have (Macs, iPads, PCs, netbooks) including my DROID2 and an older (ViewSonic) version of the Galaxy tablet talk to the router and the 'net without problem.

Follow up to older post for sharing purposes:
I was having the same WIFI connection problems with my home network. I followed all of the recommendations on this thread to solve the problem. The fix that worked for me is listed below:
1. Setup a static IP address on the router and assigned Static IP for the device (Galaxy Tab 10.1)
2. Change router settings for channel selection from (auto) to (6).
My Tab has been working perfectly ever since.

Thank you, ACE! I figured out how to assign a static IP to my Gtab including DNS values .. and that did the trick!!
I forgot (it was a long while back) that there's a minor flaw in how the Airport acts as a "router bridge" in that sometimes it doesn't relay/push DNS info to the client.
It makes sense that the problem my Gtab was having was "voiced" as "trouble contacting servers" and that what it really lacked was DNS info.

I'll give this method a try Ace. I've had this same issue before and was able to resolve it after rebooting my router and letting the tab be the first device to grab an ip address. Seems like all my other devices actually request an IP and take whatever the router assigns them. Not sure what it is about the tab but it seems to demand the same ip address it once had and if another device has grabbed it, it won't connect.
I'd like an app that allows me to force it to take whatever IP address the router gives it. Maybe something like ipconfig.exe for the pc where I can release and renew at will.
I called up Samsung support and they were WORTHLESS. Told me I needed to a factory reset and if that didn't work send it back to the factory. I was like, what?! You haven't done anythign to troubleshoot the problem! Why such drastic measures as a first resort? They said that was the best they could do. I declined and fixed it myself. Just want to make sure I don't have to keep resetting my router. The other 6 devices at my house don't have this issue!
