Why is it that the 15 free movies offered by Samsung via the Tab are considerably fewer in number than those on the Samsung movie site?
Via the Galaxy - 4 pages action movies are listed, via Samsung site - 21 pages?
I guess it is simply a marketing ploy but at the very least Samsung should have made it clear on signing up that there was a restricted choice.
Can you use the voucher code on the Samsung site and download thence to the Galaxy?
Finally are there any other sites that you can download movies for the Galaxy?
Thanks
Stanner

I looked at this and may have come up with an answer of sorts about the choice available. I bought one film using the the Tab, Bullit. After the download kept crashing I used my PC to go the movie site and download, better connection but more importantly I can resume the dl if it fails.
Then I browsed the movies and as you say there is a much bigger choice. So in the end I bought another using my credit, this film was "Contact". When I get to the download page there is no option for the Galaxy Tab format, PC version and some other Samsung mobiles but no Tab.
So my (possibly incorrect), conclusion is that when browsing from the Tab it only shows you the films that have been optimised for the Tab.
My next dilemma is which of the mobile formats to try and how that will look on the Tab, any suggestions appreciated

Might as well download any films you want from the torrent sites instead of all this messing about. Not really free as your paying for it with your time, torrents, click, click, click, leave to download, click and transfer to card, job done and sorted

I found the download site doesn't like Opera, my preferred browser. Using I.E.8 u have a box to tick to use up part of your credit b4 u get to Paypal.
Hope this helps. Took me two goes to realise Opera doesn't work fully with the download site. [Opera doesn't work with Orange either - but am now on Vodafone and its fine!]

Hi
When you use the tab to browse the Samsung movies web site you will only see New compatible movies made for the resolution of the tab they normally are about 1.4 gigs to 2 gigs in size.
if you log in with your computer you will see full selection of films, I have downloaded both Golden child and Pluto Nash and the astronaut farmer and selected the Galaxy S Download as this offers the highest Resolution out of the mobile phone downloads the file size is about 718 megs and as they are old films you can buy them cheaply so your free £165 goes along way, the quality on a 7 inch screen is still more than acceptable however the price of some of those films I think have gone up since I purchased them.
you can also download larger WMV files for the computer viewing of the same older films i have not tried this but my guess is they should also work on the tab.

The PC versions ONLY work on the PC in Media Player 11.
I have a Windows 7 Media Centre which uses Media Player 12.....and they won't play in that.
If anyone with Windows 7 can confirm that...I'd be grateful.....

Last night I brought 6 free movies using my voucher. I downloaded 1 straight onto the tab, it took a minute for each of the movie minutes but was completely successful. If your device code is registered then there should be no reason to download via your pc, unless you want both versions. Acetrax seem to have things sorted now doing it this way. Hope that helps.

Where do I find this free movie offer? Is it restricted to certain countries or is it also available in Canada?

The $50 free coupon in my Tab box (AT&T) was a total fraud. I recieved the Tab as a gift at Christmas. Since then I called, wrote, tried instructions multiple times. I've wasted too much time and have now given up. The last time I talked to support, they assured me it would work, then apologized when I called again with problems. They said OOOPS--we thought you had the Verizon version. Come on. I had been very specific about the model, the source, the data acquired etc. They get an F for customer service and marketing.
Still, I do like the 7" form factor of the Tab, flash support and USB/ext. drive ports. Watch out though....if Apple starts addressing those feature issues I'd be tempted to switch.
