Galaxy Tab GT-P1010 paid apps ?

Hi,
Just got a galaxy tab (wifi only) but cannot gain access to the paid apps in google market. All the apps i have purchased on my htc are listed on my tab but i cannot access them.
I have read somewhere that you cannot access paid apps if you have wifi only, is this true? if so i better return it an get something else.
