Hi,
I managed to flash my new firmware successfully. After flashing this is what I get from "About device"
Firmware version 2.2
Baseband version P1000DXJM2
Kernel version 2.6.32.9 root@SE-S604#1
Build number FROYO.DXKM2
However, when I check my firmware using *#1234# at phone, I saw
PDA:
Phone: P1000DXJM2
CSC:
The PDA and CSC fields are missing! Is this normal? If not, how do I fix it. Appreciate your help, thanks.

Hi Ayman07
First of all I would like to thank you very much for the help on to flash my AT&T Galaxy tab.
I've run the whole process described in the video and everything went well, except the last boot.
When trying to final booting with the new firmware, the screen is black. Only the AT&T logo flashes a second
and no option to go to the recovery mode. The Samsung logo does not appear also.
I've rooted the tab before to be able to run the "bootloader application" from Roto (which told me I'm safe).
Do you have any suggestion on what to try?
Thanks in advance.
Kiko

Hi Ayman07
I've fixed the black screen problem just loading the JJ4 bootloaders.
I've searched on XDA and follow the suggestion from ROTO.
It is now working perfect.
MIllion thanks for your easy to follow guide and also to ROTO for his suggested fix o fthe problem.

Ok I flashed my t-mobile us tab with ayman07's instructions and help, everything worked fine, I've been using it as my primary phone for over a month now and its been great, ok now this is the problem, last night I was playing on the marketplace and downloaded some stuff as usual and uninstalled what I didn't like/want, this morning I turned on my tab and when I went to the marketplace, under "My Apps" it is blank, my apps and games are gone and it says "no Marketplace Downloads" then a grey message window pops up and says "Warning your device is not compatable with the Android Marketplace, please contact your device manufacturer" and all these weird apps are on the marketplace to download, if I search for a game or app that I know is on the market the search says no match found. Everything else works fine, its just my market, could someone please help me in anyway possible, I'm am so disappointed that this happened and I really dont want to factory reset unless I absolutely have to, if that is my only option a quick intro on how to reset would be greatly appreciated. I am running the flash from the first page on this post, thank you in advance and I hope to hear from someone soon.

Try deleting the market place and the go find the updated market place on xda forum and reinstall. You might try clearing the market cache or data. Once you clear that see if it back. If bot the try the uninstall and reinstall the newest market.

To clear the data and cache, go into setting, application, manage application and find market. There will be buttons for clearing data and cache. To uninstall it you will do a force quit and then select uninstall is it allows you. All this can be done in the same spot. I tried to attach it but it is to big. Here is the link to get it.

You will need to download the vending_2_2_11.apk file. You will need to register for a account on android central to download the apk file. Put the file on your SD card. I use apkinstaller fromt he market to install APK files. Use that to navigate to you sd click on it and install it. Hopefully this will fix your market.

Thank you so much for your instructions, before I could attempt any of this I was clearing off a few apps and games I had installed by uninstalling them via the manage applications settings and out of nowhere the updates are available notification popped up and my market was fine? I have no idea how it fixed itself, then a day or two later with my market working fine I went into my app section to see if there were any manual updates available and only 3 apps which I had purchased on an older phone but have not installed on my Tab were showing and nothing else but the market was still ok, so I let it be and purchased and downloaded a bowling game, after it installed the update notification popped up again and my apps were back in my market? Then today while browsing the market under my apps only the 3 apps I mentioned and the bowling game are showing? I don't understand why it is doing this but I can bet that if I either download and install or uninstall an app or game it will fix again. I am going to try to clear the data like you instructed to see if it fixes, and if it does not I will try to install something to see if that works, I will let u know the outcome of both

Hello. I'm in norway and bought the Galaxy Tab here.
I had the JJ4 originally installed.

Now this. I cannot flash anything, i cant do anything. Its totally bricked. I tried flashing it to JM6 and back to JJ4 but I still get the same error.
When i reboot it now, i get the phone ...!... pc -screen
I can get it back to download mode by using only the PIT file.
But i cant do anything else then this.
Any hints on what to do?
Odin3 v1.7

@memo which service provider are you using? T-mobile, at&t? Usa tab or actual foreign tab? And if your using a t-mobile us tab with the euro firmware then you can not have voice and 3g data at the same time, its not the firmware its an interior problem from either t-mobile blocking 3g data from within the device or its a modem problem being incompatible with the bands that t-mobile uses to access their 3g network, we are still waiting for some type of work around or a new modem that will allow all of us to have voice calling and 3g data at the same time

@ayman07 hey I was wondering t-mobile us tab euro firmware, unlocked, if I put my brothers at&t android sim with unlimited data in my tab And change my network to at&t will I get 3g data? Have you or anyone tried this, I figured id ask before I try because i only see my brother maybe once a week and its not easy for me to get a hold of him so if this would result in a dead end then I'm not even going to try it, at&t plans are super expensive in my area, 450 min, unlimited text, and unlimited data is $89.99 plus taxes and surcharges I pay $59.99 with t-mobile for 500 min, unlimited text and data so I probably wouldn't be changing providers anytime soon but it would be nice to test at&t 3g service just to see the difference between it and t-mobile edge. Thanks in advance

@A Gomez
go all the way to the first page of this post and read a bit and watch the video, that should help you, you may have to check the firmware topic located under this topic on the main page of this site, I flashed to the European firmware from the Usa stock firmware so you may need a different firmware since you are flashing from the Arabic firmware I'm not sure if it matters what firmware you are starting with but the process is very simple, it takes about 15 minutes to do everything if you are taking your time, the video on the first page of this post is great for a nice step by step guide, everything you need can be found on this site and everyone is very helpful, I hope my response has been helpful and I hope you can flash the European firmware with no problems

As of now there's is no modem capable of giving a t-mobile galaxy tab both voice calling and 3g data, we are stuck on edge data, is your tablet flashed to the European firmware or is it the stock Canadian firmware or is it the stock usa firmware? The European firmware will enable voice calling but you will lose 3g data, I believe the Canadian firmware does not accept 3g data or voice calling just edge data, if you do not want voice calling on your tablet and just wish to have 3g data only you could flash the American stock t-mobile firmware and modem and you would have 3g data and no voice calling, that is as long as your service provider has 3g data coverage in your area, feel free to ask any questions you may have, everything I have learned has been from reading these posts and asking questions my self so if I feel comfortable answering one of your questions without giving you false information I will answer anything you may ask if I do not know an answer to one of your questions I will happily look them up for you or give you a more advanced members name so you may ask them.
