My tab (optus in australia) comes with an ebook reader. I just put the ebook on my sd card and go into settings > import. Must be a comparable format. If you need to change the format, use www.2epub.com.
Hope this helped.

If you have a Kindle app, then you can get books directly from the Amazon store. If you're looking for free (and legal) stuff, I would recommend checking out Project Gutenberg.
Galaxy Tab 8.9 GT-P7320 Android Version 4.04
Original Galaxy Tab 7-Inch GT-P1000 Android Version 4.04 (CM-9)

If downloading from the Amazon Kindle store, the Kindle app will automatically put your ebook in the correct folder. However, if you buy your book from another site AND want to read it on your Kindle app, you'll need to mount your Tab to your pc, and drag the file from your folder labeled Downloads to the one labeled Kindle. You can then read any mobi ebook from the Kindle app. But, note! It must be in mobi format.
Good luck,

Why not Kindle? I have a Kindle which I don't use much now that I got my Galaxy, but the Kindle ebook system works fine with my machine. Go to Amazon, buy a book and it's available in about thirty seconds on my Kindle, and also on my PC in the Kindle application and on my Galaxy under the Kindle free app. Buy once, read anywhere.
My Galaxy Tab is identicle in size to my Kindle except for thickness and weight. Magazines and newspapers look much better on the color screen. Also the Galaxy while the same overall height and width as the Kindle has a considerably larger screen because the Kindle has about a third of the front dedicated to the physical keyboard. Finally with the Galaxy you can read wider lines by turning the tab sideways. This is especially helpful with certain web sites.
The Kindle's one major advantage is the ability to read it in full sunlight. But today's overcast so I'll be leaving the Kindle at home today.

I currently have 600+ ebooks installed in my iPhone. Is it possible to transfer all of them in my G Tab?
Thanks!

If you can get them off the iphone (don't know anything about iphones sorry)you'll just drag drop them into the root/ebook/import or put them on the card and then copy or cut/paste them into the afore folder mentioned

Yup, I just dragged everything to iTunes and it was installed instantly. I'll try to do that with my G Tab.
Thank you for your help!

Hi,
I bought my wife the Galaxy Tab a few weeks ago.
She has had no problems with it, but 2 days ago bought 7 books from WH SMith.
In order to view the books on the glaxy tab it says she needs to install Adobe Digital Editions.
I tried but it says unsupported.
I tried a bunch of e reader apps but none of them seem to be able to see the acsm files that are the books.
Is there an App for the galaxy tab that will read the acsm files?
or
Is there a way to get Adobe Digital Editions installed on the Galaxy Tab or must i tell her to phone WH Smith and get a refund?
Thnks in advance
