The picture size you use?
I suggest you resize it to 1280*800.

1200 x 1024 pixels is what you need

How does that work when the native resolution is 1240 x 800? You will lose some of the image

I would use the resolution stated in the second post. . You will need to crop pictures to fit otherwise residing will cause them to become distorted

I look forward to Gainn's solution, but I could only get 1240x800 to work, without the tab resizing tne image. The image will spead over the homescreens though (like the native wallpapers).

If you just want a full height image, then all you do is resize it to 1200x1024 as stated before.. then as you scroll thru the screens you will see the other parts of the image. What I wanted to do was make it so that the image you choose shows, and stays as it is no matter what screen you scroll to.

actually found quite a few ways to do it in the end.. all ways require some photo editing software and all but one need a launcher program.

Go Launcher EX and ADW.Launcher both support 'Static' wallpaper which is how we can do this.

as stated before the image should be 1200x1024 .. without it being that, it wont allow you to select all of it, so if its not you will need to do some editing. resize the height first in most cases, and then crop the image to 1200.. if it isnt that wide after adjusting the height.. well thats the bit where you need to get creative.. ;) obviously, the bit you wish to show would be the middle 600px only.

once you have the launcher installed and the image loaded onto your Tab and set as the wallpaper, go into the launcher settings..
In Go, it's .. Menu> preferences>Display Settings> untick Wallpaper scrolling.

In ADW, it's .. Menu>ADW settings> Screen preferences> untick Wallpaper Scrolling
go back to your home screen, and your image will show its subject no matter what homescreen you look at.

other way is via a live wallpaper.. this one is so much easier, and the image can be any size but sadly the app is still a little bit slow to load bigger images..
the app is called 'MultiPicture Wallpaper' and its on the market.
install it, and then go.. Menu>wallpaper>live wallpapers>multipicture wallpaper and then go into its settings.
you will only need one screen, so go into Common Settings>Picture Source. and choose your image.
then go into Crop/Resize Ratio and choose which you prefer (fit to fullscreen seems to work for most images, but medium crop is useful for some.. try each option and see..)
come back out, and it will auto resize it to fit your choice..
the only problem with that app is as I said its slow to load.. when you rotate it takes a little while.. hopefully the dev will work on that tho..

it seems complex to write out, but its very easy to do..
