I love my tab but it seems to be running slower and slower. I am a total novice when it comes to technology so please be gentle with any advice!
The problem is mainly with the internet which takes forever to load and often closes down on me. My tab used to be the answer to my prayers but now its quicker to load up the pc to look at the web. V annoying.
Should I do a reset? If I do will I lose my apps etc and how do I do it?

Are u using wifi and whats your broadband speed?

Just incase youve accidentally put the wifi off and running it on 3g.

Have you checked to see what background apps are running?

What browser are you using? And is it set to mobile or desktop?

Do you have the tab set to sync with Facebook etc?

Lots of questions but id start with a simple reboot and then if its still gash then go through the above.

What do u mean background apps? I always keep my active applications down to just what I need, is that what u mean? Not synced to Facebook to my knowledge. Wifi connection is fine I think and usually its only me or one other pc connected but mostly its just me, I'm at home with young kids.
Umm which browser? Err Google? Is that a browser? I don't know!
And finally how do I do a simple reboot?
Thanks for yr help!

The tab is like the PC and programs can run without you knowing, they are called background programs. They do things like
Update the weather report on your tab, check emails for you, update your contacts with your facebook friends and so on. They normally don't take up too much power.

To reset hold the power button until for a few seconds until you get another pop up menu, one of the options will be Power Off. By doing that you can reset the device.

A browser is like Internet Explorer on your PC. The one that comes with your tab is an icon with the picture of the world. When your connection slows down have a look by the time othe top notification bar and see if there is a 3g network logo with 2 arrows or a dot with some curved lines on top of it. The curved lines means its connected to wifi. 3g may be slower depending on your reception at home.

If you want check your running items go to

settings
applications
manage applications
running applications (im sure you can skip manage applications and come straight to this)

If theres anything running that shouldnt be then tap on it and stop it.
If theres anything running that your not sure if you should stop i.e sns services then just leave it.

Go to settings again and look for accounts & sync
tap on it
and un-tick both options
youll get a blah blah message ignore it
if you go to use Android market it will tell you background data needs to be enabled so just enable it again. Otherwise you can keep it off when not using the market.

I was asking about your internet as sharing your service with games consoles etc can slow you down. The other thing to check is that your wifi connection is secured and no-one else can join it without your password.

Outwith that you could try downloading and installing dolphin mini or dolphin hd, miren or an alternate browser from the android market to see if that helps.
