Cannot connect to Network

Hi,

I've had my Tab for several months now without any problem. Yesterday, however, I noticed I couldn't connect to anything via 3G. Then I realised I couldn't make or receive calls - only Emergency Calls.
My first thought was to call 3 (I have a monthly contract with them) but they couldn't see a problem with my account or the network. I then tried someone else's SIM card (the Tab is unlocked/unbranded) but the result was the same.
So I tried to connect to the network manually via Settings, but every time I manually select 3 (or any other provider) I get the message: "Your SIM card does not allow you to connect to this network".

3 are sending me a new SIM but I really don't think that this is the problem. I have tried a factory reset, but to no avail.

Has anyone else come across this?

No solution, but since misery loves company here goes...I bricked my Galaxy Tab from Verizon trying to install Gingerbread upgrade. It was under warranty so I sent my beloved Tab to Samsung in Plano, Texas for a free re-flash of OS. Lost all my tweaks and data, as expected. The Tab was returned in a timely fashion, and I received it on Friday, May 27, 2011. It now will not connect to Verizon's 3G network.(It works fine on my home Wifi and various hotspots). Spent hours on the phone being talked through various reset protocols and being handed off from Verizon to Samsung. Verizon finally said all is up to date on their end and they are shipping me a replacement unit.
If you experienced the same troubles , in the same time frame, maybe someone at Verizon tripped the wrong switch, and they won't realize it till after the holiday. I will keep fiddling with my Tab until I have to ship it back after my replacement arrives. Good luck...

I'm with 3 in the UK. I hadn't tried an upgrade at all. The only thing I think I did inbetween it working and not working was connect it to Kies (to see if an update was available - there wasn't). I have since tried a new SIM and someone else's SIM without any success.
