how did you upgrade ? - via Samsung Kies update, a stock Rom or a custom rom via Odin

I had the problem since Froyo, and it didn`t change after upgrading to Gingerbread through Odin.
I`ve done a lot of research, and apparently this is a manufacturing issue. It could be mitigated by some filters (as Touch Screen Booster does for the Galaxy S), but I doubt it would be perfect.

I believe Samsung rushed a bit the launch of Galaxy Tab, to start competing with the iPad asap, and neglected quality assurance of some components.

Unfortunately my solution was to move on. I`ve purchased an Asus Transformer (great equipment!!), and the only reason I still keep the Galaxy Tab is for testing, as I`m now developing for Android.

as you joined in April 2011, if your Tab was new, it should still be under the 12 month guarantee
worth logging on to Samsung support, your account & checking for a guarantee repair or replacement

Thanks for the tip Bart, but I have already tried that.
Actually, I tried 3 replacements in store. Each time there was a different problem. The first one had this screen issue, the second would never connect 3G, the third had a bad yellow stain in the screen, then I managed to get another one with the same problem as the first, which appeared to be the least severe of them, and gave up replacing.

Naturally, I underestimated how disppointing this problem would be. The deadline for store replacement was gone, and I sent it to Samsung for repairing. I even sent the link to the picture and videos I included in this post. Samsung dared to say that the Tab was perfect. Apparently, they have a concept that if you can use it, it is working perfectly. Bad for Samsung.

I was upset in the beginning, but then I was happy to find out that Galaxy Tabs are not the only Android tablet options out there. I love the portability of my P1000L, how handy it is, etc, but I got seduced by the 10.1 inches screen, HDMI out, great keyboard dock, Honeycomb OS, battery life, full size USB in the keyboard dock, and price that the Asus offers.

I hate to say that in a GT forum, but giving up the GT was my best move =/.

Hi Brothers,

Same stupid, annoying, horrible problem with this vibrating touch in Galaxy Tab (P1000l), that did started after updating to 2.3.3.

It’s really starting to make me want to break the whole thing in half.

I think it’s an internal electrical interference, probably caused by the overclock made by de new firmware.

Try something:
- Observe the intensity of the vibration with and without the charger connected.
- Observe the intensity with the tablet idle and running some hardcore app or game.

What I see, is that de intensity of vibration changes according with the power drain and processor use… Any other aspect seems to be relevant…

In regards of the black or white screen background, try to keep in mind that this directly impacts the power drain.

How to solve it!? Nooo idea.

Hey man. Got the same problem with you. It started to screen shake after i upgraded it to 2.3.3 wanna trash my tab and buy a nokia 5110 for christ sake. Lets just wait.for the official android 4.0 lets just hope the new firmware will fix it. And i think its a software problem not the galaxy tab itself.
