Hi all

I lecture at a uni, and recently bought a Galaxy tab A 9.7" to replace a big old laptop.
Too late I learned about MHL and its absence in the Tab A.

One lecture setup is a wall hdtv with a hdmi cable setup.

One is a projector setup on the ceiling with a vga cable coming out of the floor (I can't access the unit itself).

I assume with an MHL enabled device I could have connected to both via Samsung adapters, but as it is I'm stuck.
Would an adapter or two still work, with an app downloaded as well?
Or am I completely stuck?

Thanks,

Rooboy

If you have wifi and Internet access I highly recommend getting a chromecast. It is do much more convenient to cast the screen than using wires. I never use my mhl adapter on my tab s.

Yes it's an option I have looked at.
I will try that for the wall TV, it looks like I won't be using cables either.

The projector unit is another situation entirely...

Have googled and am struggling to find any.

Hello there mates. I've got the same problem here. Same as Rooboy, and I mean it. I am a Professor and use the tablet for classes. I've got an iPad, but not necessarily an Apple boy myself! I bought it only because of the VGA adapter which is easy to find. Last week bought the Tab A SM-P550 because I've got a Note 4 and S-Pen and everything. Didn't research beforehand and I am about to sell it for it is not MHL compatible, which is a bummer! Such a nice piece of equipment. I saw an MHL2VGA dongle with 5pin to 11pin adapter at Amazon.com and thought that might make it. Isn´t there really a way around it friends? Thank you.
