Hi everyone

Hoping someone may have some suggestions on what my problem might be.

I have the Samsung Galaxy Tab GT P1000. Have been using it for about six weeks. Still learning!!!!

Was out and about today, warm sunny day in Sydney, NSW, walked for a couple of hours, used the Tab to take some photos, checked the walking route we were taking etc. Ended up at a cafe, downed a coffee and headed for home, so practised using the Google GPS.

All going well then the screen just shut off. I had been keeping an eye on the battery because I'm still trying to work out how best to conserve the battery when I'm overseas. It was still at full strength.

Now I'm home and plugged into the mains power. The screen is still dead after about an hour.

Is this something anyone else has experienced? The device seems quite hot. I'm hoping this may just be the problem and it will come back on again.

The screen does not look like it's shut down, it is still sort of grey, not the black when it's on screen saver.

Any ideas anyone?

Try hold down the power button for a while until the samsung logo comes up. May take 20 or so seconds. This force restarts it in case itis stuck in some sort of loop, resetting it will boot android fresh (but not hard reset).
